When you think of Ja Rule & Ashanti, or Fab & Lil Mo, do you think about Preme & Bliss..?? Well you should. They have a perfect track record as far as recording together. The story behind this song is almost fairy tale. I was there when K. Bliss walked into the studio and said she felt like recording again, since she hasn’t recorded in a little while. Preme told her that she should get on Dream’s beat, Rocking Dat Sh**, since it was the hottest single out at the time.

Bliss put the headphones on, remixed and recorded the song in no more than 45 minutes. Somewhere in the middle of the session DJ Magic walked into the White House Studio and was wowed by her voice and talent. After Preme heard the potential in the freestyle he had jus recorded, he walked into the booth, no pen, no pad. He just mumbled out 16 bars as he usually does.

When the freestyle was completed, DJ Magic loved it so much that he demanded a DJ Magic version. The result of that studio session is still history in the making. DJ Magic used his version as the intro to his set for months. People stood still in amazement when K. Bliss’ acappella voice came through the speakers. Then the raspy voice by the already well known PremeDaPrez just brought an element to the song that makes me without a doubt believe that this duo is one that is headed far.
